Summer Reading (STEAM): iPad Gaming/Tech Time

Family Playtime
Children ages 12 months to 3 years and their caretakers can enjoy bonding, doing finger plays, singing, dancing, and throwing and catching bean bags. Registration is not required.

Reading Buddies
Participants can read to each other for a reduction in their library card fines. Reduce your fines by $2.50 for each thirty minutes, up to a maximum of one hour. All participants should be between 4 years and 21 years old. Registration is required at the children's reference desk.

Make and Take Monday
Stop by the Children’s Room activity table to pick up materials for a fun craft to make at the library and take home. There will be a different project each Monday afternoon: beading, scratch art, black velvet coloring, paper mosaics, sticker scenes, and more! This is for children ages 5-12 years. Children can improve their literacy skills this summer by reading aloud with a friendly teenage or adult volunteer. Book Buddies will be available from 2 to 3 pm every weekday afternoon for readers ages 5 to 12. No registration required; sign up for a 15-minute session in the Children's Room.

Planet Fun!
Enjoy a different space-themed book and activity each week! Make a sun, star, moon, or planet button pin! Learn about the constellations and draw a starry scene! Create a new planet with a beach ball! Mix up some glittery space slime! Construct a rocket ship photo frame! String some sparkly galaxy bracelets! This program is for children ages 5-12 years. Registration is not required, but space and materials are limited; pick up a free ticket in the Children’s Room 15 minutes before each session.
