Reading Buddies 
Participants can read to each other for a reduction in their library card fines. Reduce your fines by $2.50 for each thirty minutes, up to a maximum of one hour. All participants should be between 4 years and 21 years old.  Registration is required at the children's reference desk.

Learn about the moon while creating your own Moon Phase Flip Book.  See the different phases of the moon, and decorate your flip book as you like.  This program is for ages 10 years and older. All materials will be supplied.

Board Game and Puzzle Time 
Children ages 3-12 years can have fun playing board games such as Connect 4, Bingo, and Q-Bitz, and assembling jigsaw puzzles.

Summer Reading: Touchdown on the Moon 
Working in small groups, children ages 6-12 years build a moon lander that will safely land two "astronauts."  All materials will be supplied. Registration not required.

Enjoy a different space-themed book and activity each week! Make a sun, star, moon, or planet button pin! Learn about the constellations and draw a starry scene! Create a new planet with a beach ball! Mix up some glittery space slime! Construct a rocket ship photo frame! String some sparkly galaxy bracelets! This program is for children ages 5-12 years. Registration is not required, but space and materials are limited; pick up a free ticket in the Children’s Room 15 minutes before each session.
