In Home Service

ParentChild+ (location and eligibility requirements)

ParentChild+ uses education to break the cycle of poverty for low-income families. They provide a school readiness program to families challenged by poverty, lack of educational opportunities, and language and literacy barriers, wherever they call home. They have partners across the world, and in Queens specifically have locations based in The Child Center of NY-Astoria and Child Center of NY-Jamaica.

Nurse-Family Partnership (eligibility requirements)

Nurse-Family Partnership is an evidence-based nurse home visiting program for low-income first-time mothers. Clients up to 28 weeks pregnant are paired with specialty trained nurses, who provide information and guidance throughout the pregnancy and until the child’s second birthday.
