The QPL Baby Learning Video Series is a new initiative presented by Queens Public Library’s Community Health Educator, Christopher Galarza, along with a panel of pediatric and OB-GYN physicians and residents from NYC’s Health + Hospital’s Elmhurst Hospital. 

This video series is divided into four stages and provides medically verified information on how to prepare for pregnancy, including delivery planning, after birth care, and ensuring the health of newborns and toddlers. 

Stage 1:
Family Planning

  • Best for those considering a new pregnancy
  • Learn about goal setting and family planning

Stage 2:
Prenatal

  • Best for expectant parents
  • Learn about assembling your pregnancy team, tests commonly performed during pregnancy, plus how to prepare for labor and delivery

Stage 3:
Postpartum

  • Best for new parents
  • Learn about newborn care, options for different types of feedings, and safe sleeping techniques for your newborn

Stage 4:
Toddler

  • Best for parents raising a toddler
  • Learn about the importance of play and motor skills, best practices for child nutrition, and help your child explore their behavioral health when socializing
