Born and raised in Shanghai, Professor Xu, working at Brooklyn Public Library and concurrently teaching in Brooklyn College, will lead a panel discussion with Polly Shih Brandmeyer, Ellen Kracauer Hartig, and Lily Klebanoff, each of whom had family members settling in China.
