This year, people around the world have faced a crisis that has taken more than a million lives and profoundly altered the way we live, learn, work, celebrate, and come together. In these trying times, as we continue to cope with the pandemic, kindness, compassion, and empathy are even more vital. From November 23 to the end of December, through a number of programs and activities, Queens Public Library once again will celebrate kindness. We will take time to recognize our shared humanity and focus on how we care for one another. We will find inspiration in the generosity of our neighbors. We will try to see the world through others' perspectives. We will celebrate everyday kindness – those small acts that make our days, our communities, and our world better, now more than ever.

Join us for a social media canned food challenge, a kindness e-wall, and virtual programs.

Starting December 4, pick up a kindness to-go kit while supplies last at libraries providing to-go service.
