NYC’s voting again!
This time we’ll be voting in the General Election, and candidates from different parties will compete to be the city’s next Mayor, Public Advocate, Comptroller, Borough Presidents, and City Council Members. Any registered voter can vote.
Earlier this year, we held a Primary Election to decide party candidates to run in this General Election. To vote in the primaries, voters needed to be registered with a political party.
Ranked Choice Voting will not be used in the November General Election. It is used only for primaries or special elections.
Besides voting for city offices, voters will also have a say in statewide ballot measures on voting rights, the environment, and redistricting.
Voter registration forms are available at your local library.
