It is always a good time to perform and receive acts of kindness. It's Time for Kind is Queens Library's end of year theme for 2018. No one was more adept or passionate about the power of kindness than Mister Rogers. This documentary (2018, PG-13) paints a portrait of the life and work of children's entertainer, Mr. Fred Rogers, the star of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood." Mister Rogers was able to creatively communicate themes of empathy and acceptance with his show.

Kindness Club: Gift-Making Workshop Series

Spread some kindness! Children ages 6-12 will make gifts and cards for family, friends, and people in need of a little extra kindness. We will complete a different project each week, including friendship bracelets, fleece scarves, beaded jewelry, and greeting cards. Some of each week's creations will be shared with those in need. Participation can be counted towards required school community service hours. No registration required.
