The Queens of Queens
Community Virtual Vision Board

In 2024, Queens Public Library is celebrating women who have been leaders in their professional lives with our campaign theme, Changemakers: Women Who Advocate. This year's activity is the Queens of Queens vision board, where we highlight changemakers who are from Queens or have advocated for our diverse communities.

There are two ways you can participate in our community virtual vision board.

Make Your Own at Home
and Share A Pic

  • Read short biographies of incredible changemakers, who are from Queens or have advocated for the diverse communities of Queens on our Prompts and Bio page. Use the prompts at the end of each bio to inspire and guide you.
  • Download our Inspiration Sheet and clip out featured quotes and icons to add to your vision board.
  • Make your own vision board at home. Add magazine clippings, words, and images which inspire you. You can make your own vision board on almost any usable surface, such as a posterboard, cardboard, bulletin board, journal, sketchbook or even a post-it. Your vision board can be as small or as big as you like.
    Get creative!
  • Upload a pic of either your completed vision board or the process of making your vision board. Write a message and share on social media with #QueensofQueens

Upload a Message
with a Pic

  • Reflect on this year's theme: Changemakers: Women Who Advocate.
  • What does being a changemaker mean to you?
  • What does a changemaker look like?
  • What kind of change you would like to see in your own life or world?
  • Write a personal message and upload a pic inspired by your own thoughts and reflections, and share on social media with #QueensofQueens
