At The Heart Of The Matter Is Kindness With Richard Nicholson (IN-PERSON AND VIRTUAL)
A brief discussion will precede the musical performance, highlighting ways in which kindness is demonstrated at home, in our communities, and globally. Examples of kindness at home include greeting each other as well as sharing, and assisting with chores. In our communities, kindness includes being friendly, taking pride in our communities, and volunteering to help those less fortunate. Globally, kindness means respect for diversity.
We will perform songs that celebrate the theme of kindness and emphasize one or more of the three characteristics outlined above. Examples of such songs are Stevie Wonder’s “Love’s in Need of Love Today,” Timmy Thomas’ “Why Can’t We Live Together,” Bruno Mars’ “Count on Me,” and Bill Withers' “Lean on Me.” This program will be a live presentation with the option for the audience to join virtually.
