Celebrate Pride Month with the Queens Public Library for a viewing of the influential and entertaining film Maestro, a movie about dance music history, old school house music and club culture. Get a look inside legendary venues like the Paradise Garage, The Loft, and The Gallery - featuring scenes that include pioneering DJs like Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles, Nikki Siano and David Mancuso. Special guests will discuss their experiences of this magical time in New York City, when night life culture ruled the city. Bring your own baby powder! LITERARY THURSDAYS: TREE ABRAHAM, AUTHOR OF ELSESHIP: AN UNREQUITED AFFAIR (VIRTUAL)
