BILINGUAL TODDLER TIME (ENGLISH & SPANISH) 

Join us for fun stories, songs, and rhymes for toddlers ages 13-35 months! Full and active participation of accompanying caregivers is encouraged. Due to high demand, we require that patrons register for only one Hunters Point Wednesday Toddler Time each week (either 10:15 or 11:15). Registration is open the day before each session only. Each child attending needs to be registered; adults do not. Doors close ten minutes after the start of the program. This program will be in Spanish and English.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MAKER CLUB - EXPLORING PAINTING THROUGH SCIENCE

During our 6 weeks together, participants will explore the theme of “color my world” through different painting techniques and STEAM projects, to foster problem solving in a logical and creative manner. The program will consist of 3 weeks focusing on STEAM activities: an exploding paint rocket experiment, magnet painting, and printmaking with natural pigments. In the 3 following weeks, we will focus on exploring different watercolor painting techniques, taking inspiration from famous artists and their works. Topics explored include resist, salt, and marble printmaking. Final showcase will be a gallery of all works created.

KICKOFF TO KINDERGARTEN - FLUSHING    

Kickoff to Kindergarten is a fun, free program for 3- and 4-year-old children and their caregivers. The program enables children to develop their early literacy skills and begin a lifelong love of reading while parents and caregivers are coached to become confident in their ability to support their child’s development following a curriculum aligned with the Science of Reading. Our seven sessions program will focus on learning about dialogic reading techniques that can be used when caregivers read together with their children.
