SCREEN PRINTING FOR TEENS (IN-PERSON)

Join us for a hands-on screen printing workshop series focusing on design, production, and branding. Over the course of three workshops, you will create your own custom-designed t-shirts, while gaining insight into the startup process of a screen-printing business. You’ll walk away with valuable skills, a mini portfolio of shirt designs to kick off your design business, and t-shirts that you helped create. Limited to 15 participants.

PORTRAITS OF POWER FOR TEENS: ADOBE AFTER EFFECTS COMPOSITE AND VIDEO (IN-PERSON)

In this After Effects series, students will learn the basics of digital visual effects, motion graphics and compositing with Adobe AE. Students will create a “portrait of power” using a green screen, open source stock footage, and the skills they learned on Adobe AE.

CHARACTER AND CREATURE DESIGN WITH TEEN ART SALON (IN-PERSON)

Teen Art Salon is hosting a one-week art intensive for middle schoolers, focusing on the building blocks of visual storytelling. You will learn the basics of character design and illustrating environments. Explore the science of creature design, create figures using basic anatomy and gesture drawing, and draw inspiration from animation, manga, and graphic novels to practice depicting movement, settings, and narrative choices. You will receive a free sketchbook to dream, prepare, rehearse, record, and eventually realize your ideas. We invite all young artists who enjoy sketching original characters and unique worlds to join us. Open to rising 6th-9th graders. Space is limited, and registration is required. Register here.
