From Sunday, April 7 to Saturday, April 13, celebrate National Library Week, which recognizes the vital role that libraries play in our society by fostering imagination, confidence, and education for all ages, empowering lifelong learners and providing essential services.

This year, QPL is also spotlighting banned or challenged books by hosting 6 storytimes at 6 locations with QPL and QPL Foundation board members on Wednesday, April 10. These special guests will read aloud Maurice Sendak's Where the Wild Things Are, which has been a challenged or banned book since its publication in 1963. View more details on our programs page. Also, learn more about banned books here.
