What is genealogy? How was DNA research developed to find familial linkages? We'll look at the growing field and the way you can find your family history with it. Looking at the most popular genealogy databases, we'll determine what information each provides. In this workshop, participants will build and manipulate a small wireless mesh network, gaining hands-on experience with relevant principles of networking, mesh network topologies, and equipment currently used by NYC Mesh (a physical network of free and accessible Internet).
