What You Need
Logging in & Using Freegal Music
Step 1: Go to Queens Public Library Freegal site here. Note: Bookmark this page for future access.
Step 2: Log in with your Queens Public Library card number and PIN.
Step 3: Once you have logged in, you will see your allotted streaming time and song downloads in the upper-right-hand corner. Each library account can download up to 5 songs per week AND stream up to 3 hours per day. Music videos are available for download only and will cost 2 of your allotted downloads.
Step 4: Browse by clicking on any of the categories in the blue bar along the top of the website. You can also search by song title, album title or artist. Songs in specific genres can be found in Freegal Playlists, accessible in the menu on the left.
Step 5: Click on the Play, Download or Wishlist button. Download the Freegal Music Glossary.
Using the Freegal Music App
For an optimized listening experience, download the Freegal Music app at Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iOS).
Step 1: Once you download the app, enter your zip code and select “Queens Public Library.”
Step 2: Enter your card number and PIN to access your Freegal Music account.
Step 3: Read the Terms & Conditions and press “Agree” to continue.
