Google CS First is a free program that increases student access and exposure to computer science (CS) education through after-school, in-school, and summer programs. All clubs are run by Queens Library staff.

Classes are available for students in grades 4 through to 8 at a range of locations. All skill levels are welcome.

Note: All sites (with the exception of Broadway) are one-hour sessions.  Broadway will be 2-hour sessions twice a week. 

Animation (Advanced)

Students create fun and complex animated projects. This is an advanced curriculum, which means it teaches new concepts that are recommended for students who have already participated in at least two other CS First themes.

Friends (Moderate)

In Friends, students create projects for a friend! Students are encouraged to sign up with a friend or make a new friend in the club. Projects include telling the story of how the friendship started, making a cooperative game, and imagining a company together.
